Ford, the multinational company specialized in the automotive industry has granted international recognition to ITERCON for the design and construction work carried out on one of the assembly lines that the company has at its plant in Craiova, Romania.
ITERCON, a global construction operator, has executed a complex project of more than 3.000 m2 in just 5 months for the North American Ford. Specifically, it is the “PressLine H10”That the American company has in its Craiova plant (Romania). The work carried out inside the press room has coexisted for half a year with the client’s production without affecting it. Thanks to this project, Ford wanted to thank the Spanish company for its “excellent work in the delivery on time, cost and quality of the H10 project” and has granted it international recognition.
The investment in this extension has reached 6 million euros and it contributes to the improvement of the plant in Romania, one of the benchmark plants in Europe, together with those that the company has in Cologne (Germany) and the one in Valencia (Spain). To carry out this important project and the client’s needs in terms of execution period, the works were carried out in double and even triple shifts.
The work consisted of the demolition and evacuation of the old concrete structure and its replacement with a new one. For this, 56 pillars drilled to 18 meters deep and connected with the new structure have been used. In addition, more than 350 tons of metal reinforcement and 3600 m3 of high-strength concrete have been used. Thanks to this great project, the ITERCON Romania team has received recognition from Ford for the excellent work on this great project.
