ITERCON, the benchmark Spanish construction company in the industrial field, has this week completed a new turnkey project for the asset development and management platform, new dock in Illescas. This is the fourteenth project in which ITERCON participates in what has become in recent years the most important logistics hub in the country.
The Valencian construction company landed in this municipality of Toledo in 2015 attracted by its strategic location, less than 40 km from the center of Madrid, and since then has lifted 759.000 m2 of logistics buildings.
“With this latest delivery, ITERCON is at the forefront in the design and construction of logistics warehouses in the central area of the country, betting on the excellence that characterizes our projects thanks to the application of the latest technologies and ways of working.” commented Gabriel Fernandez, president of ITERCON.
The new construction is divided into two independent warehouses located within a plot of more than 93.000 m2. Both ships have a total of 69 loading docks to facilitate the work of future tenants and are waiting to receive the Leed Platinum certification, the highest category of this seal, for which they have been designed.
In line with its sustainable construction strategy, ITERCON has installed 143 KWP of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of both buildings that will help reduce energy consumption.
The first ship of 13.903 m2 construction began in May 2021 and, just a few weeks later, the construction of the second began, which occupies a total of 42.795 m2 of the plot. Both constitute the first phase of the logistics park that the investment company plans to build in Illescas.
