ITERCON and CBRE Global Investors place Alaquàs on the national logistics map with the construction of a plant of more than 33.000 m2

The project will allow the development of different logistics activities and will generate dozens of jobs

The ITERCON company, a Spanish construction company with more than sixty years of experience, is developing a 33.246 m2 logistics project for the real estate asset manager CBRE Global Investors. This new logistics platform will place Alaquàs on the national logistics scene.

This project offers the possibility of housing between one and four tenants, depending on the needs, in modules from 7.500 m² of surface, and includes an office building with 1.545 m² of surface.

Today there was an official visit to the facilities to see first-hand the progress of the logistics center and the redevelopment work.

The imposing logistics warehouse is meeting all construction deadlines and is scheduled to be delivered in February next year. This facility will allow the municipality to position itself as a benchmark for logistics activity in the area, and will create new jobs.

The warehouse located in Alaquàs will have double access from the CV-36 highway, direct connection to the A-7 and A-3. Furthermore, it is strategically located 10 km from Valencia, 18 km from one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean and 10 km from Valencia airport.

This new facility will help meet the demand for logistics spaces in the area. It is a flexible platform that will have 34 loading and unloading docks for trucks and 4 road accesses to the warehouse.

The construction will also have the BREEAM “Very Good” certification, which makes it possible to measure the degree of sustainability of buildings throughout their useful life, addressing the most influential factors, including low-impact design and the reduction of emissions. carbon; durability; adaptation to climate change and ecological value and protection of biodiversity.

In addition, it will incorporate a 100kw solar photovoltaic installation per building and electric vehicle chargers for an intelligent use of resources.

In parallel, the SERVITRIA company is urbanizing and regenerating the entire industrial estate to adapt it to the needs of the large logistics center.

The action of the Valencian company in the industrial estate will generate 80.000m² of industrial land and 19.000m² of landscaped green area. 15.000 m2 of perimeter streets are being resurfaced and more than 130 new LED technology luminaires are being installed. At the same time, a new 1km long bike lane and a 1.500m network of telecommunications conduits are being built to accommodate fiber optic facilities.

Toni Saura, mayor of Alaquàs, who has visited the works has been satisfied with this project that has already begun to take shape, which materializes the commitment to develop the industrial estate and which will allow the municipality to generate new jobs.

For his part, Manuel Marín, general director of ITERCON, explained the details of the project: “It is a flexible, modern and sophisticated warehouse manufactured with the latest construction techniques and environmentally sustainable”. Antonio Roncero, Head of Transactions for Spain and Portugal at CBRE Global Investors, has stated: “This project is aligned with our investment strategy in logistics. We are confident in the success of this investment due to its location, with excellent access, so close to the city of Valencia and in such a representative market for logistics in our country. The project, of 33.246 m2 divisible into four modules, allows us to offer our clients cutting-edge logistics solutions, fully adapted to the current needs of the sector and with first-class quality.”
