ITERCON, a company specialized in design and construction, has celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of the project for the creation of an underground car park and the redevelopment of the Parque Central Boulevard in Estepona (Malaga). This is the fourth project that the construction company is launching in the province and the second in the coastal village.
Meanwhile, ITERCON’s Production Director, Diego López, highlighted how the company’s civil works projects are designed with the priority of improving infrastructures to have a positive impact on the communities in which they are carried out.
Likewise, López highlighted the involvement in the project of the highly specialized teams, collaborators and suppliers who contribute to the success in time and form of each of the works.
During his speech, the mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, highlighted the main details of the project, such as the provision of more than 300 parking spaces, and emphasized the innovative nature of the project as the culmination of the transformation of the town centre of the municipality.
After the presentation of the project, the traditional photo of the shovels was taken, in which the mayor and the deputy mayor Ana Velasco were accompanied by the ITERCON project managers: the group leader Federico Vizcaíno and the site managers Pascual Meroño and Ignacio Pastor.
Consolidated presence in Andalusia
The project for the construction of the underground car park and the redevelopment of the Parque Central Boulevard is the fourth that ITERCON is carrying out in the province of Malaga. The construction company is also developing the car park and redevelopment of the area around the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Estepona, the MERCACENTRO municipal food market in Fuengirola and has recently completed a logistics complex in the Intelhorce industrial estate in Malaga city.
In an estimated 18 months, the new boulevard will transform the heart of Estepona, located in a particular enclave surrounded by the town hall and administrative centre of the city, the emblematic promenade and numerous commercial and hospitality establishments, as well as homes, into an area of special traffic for residents and visitors.
